Another Night
It was another lonely night, in another lonely bar,
When across the crowded gathering I see you,
With intoxicating beauty, grace, and poise,
Seemingly unaffected by the crowd, and noise.
I sat, and we talked, I no longer had a choice,
Uncommon beauty and a lively intelligence,
A rare combination with such an exquisite voice,
Low, full of promise, and compassion,
Intelligent, inventive, romantic, and heaven-sent,
Knowledgeable about so many subjects,
A voice that entrances sweet, direct, with a little girl’s innocence.
A Simple naivety and seductive temptress,
A complex woman without doubt singing to tout,
Qualities begging for enhancement the key to this maiden of myth.
Making sure that she is never bereft of qualities she richly deserves,
Do this to ensure that her love will be preserved.
