Forgo Our Future

Both sharing strong feelings,
Not quite sure how to bring them out again.
Wanting to come together,
Letting past memories be.
We spoke of times long past,
Mistakes made pulling it all away.
The opportunity arises at last
To try to take back all that lies in pain.
Doesn’t seem as good timing,
Though better late than never.
I just hope she feels the same,
So we can let past memories go,
Forgo the future,
Creating anew the feelings that once were.
